The electric trams of L'viv provide one of our main sources of intercity transportation.

Happy Birthday Jonathan Rhoades (May 28) and Nathan Day (May 27)!

Classic Austrian architecture of L'viv

This street leads to one of the apartments in L'viv where the CMO men live.

Matthew Ballmann preaches the Gospel through chalk-art in L'viv while Joshua translates into Ukrainian.

We had a much bigger crowd than we had anticipated.

Matthew will be teaching a chalk-art seminar for the CMO men in mid June.

After arriving in the train station in Slavsk, the men regroup and check their gear.

Our final destination was the small village of Yalynkuvateh. We often hire this old Soviet van to take us to remote villages like Yalynkuvateh.

Everyone pays the driver after arriving in Yalynkuvateh. (We should ask this guy about frequent flyer miles!)

As usual, our first task is to stamp the address where the film will be shown. Each letter must then be put back onto the "letter palette" by hand.

The sun begins to set in the Carpathians.

Matthew Ballmann and Evan Hein walk to the next group of houses to distribute invitations for The Light of the World film.

Backpacking has become a big part of our lives!

Joshua chats with a local who promised to lead us to the director of the community center (where we will later show the film.)

Even though he was mostly drunk, the man lead us to the person we were searching for. He also insisted on a group picture.

Matthew Ballmann hangs a poster advertising The Light of the World film.

The village of Volosyanka

Sergiy Chepara (one of our Bible students) preaches the Gospel after a showing of The Light of the World in Slavsk.

Since we will be showing the film in two villages on the same day next week, the men had to hike about 2 kilometers to the second of these villages. It rained most of the way.

Joshua leaves the trail to check out a possible camp site while the other men look on.

Evan Hein hands invitations to the film showing to two villagers.

Matthew erected this make-shift bridge across a stream in the mountains.

In Slavsk, the CMO men got to enjoy a genuine Ukrainian meal at the home of one our friends. The meal included hot stew, perogies, meat patties, mashed potatoes, and salad.
